I'm unpublishing my entire backlist 😱

Did that subject line shock you? Trust me, I’m going through all kinds of emotions right now myself. My anxiety has hit an all-time new level of crazy with this decision to the point where (as I type this email) I’m feeling so nauseous and wondering what the heck I’m doing with my life.

But I know the answer to that.

I’m following my gut (even though it’s churning like crazy right now) and following my heart (even though it’s breaking at the thought of saying goodbye to characters I deeply love). So, please believe me when I say that this wasn't an easy decision to make. Those books are like old friends, you know? But sometimes, even old friends need a vacation, or maybe a sabbatical to find themselves.

With that said, my McKades of Texas series, What's Left of Me, and When the Heart Falls will no longer be available for purchase as of Sunday May 12th.

Now, before you start sending out search parties for those beloved stories, hear me out. I’m not saying goodbye to them forever. I'll be bringing back those old titles, but with a twist. Think of it as the director's cut, but without the spicy bits. It'll be like reuniting with an old friend, but with a fresh perspective.

Why the change? Well, ICYMI, I'm stepping into the realm of sweet small-town romance novels with just the right amount of sizzle to keep the pages turning! Now, before you panic and wonder if I'm toning down the heat too much, let me reassure you—there's still going to be plenty of spark and chemistry. I’m just taking a slight detour into the "leave some things to the imagination" territory. But trust me, the passion isn't going anywhere. While the bedroom doors may be closing, there'll still be plenty of tension, longing glances, anticipation, and steamy kisses to set your heart aflutter and leave you utterly breathless.

So, as I bid a sorrowful farewell to the old and joyfully embrace the new, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to you, dear reader. Your support, your love, and your enthusiasm mean the world to me. Thank you for sticking with me through this wild ride, and get ready for the next chapter (pun intended). It's going to be one heck of an adventure, and I'm so glad to have you by my side.

Until next time, keep those hearts open and those doors closed (at least in the literary sense).

Much love and happy reading,

xo, Kimberly
